The much-awaited UPSC CSE 2023 results were announced on Tuesday and a total of 1016 candidates were recommended by the Union Public Service Commission to be India's top bureaucrats & Police officers. The UPSC Civil Service Prelims Examination 2023 was held on May 28. Candidates who cleared the Prelims round were eligible to appear for the Mains examination, which took place on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2023, in two shifts – from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm. UPSC CSE Mains result was announced on December 8. UPSC CSE 2023 Results confirmed that Aditya Srivastava topped the exam. In terms of girls, Donuru Ananya Reddy topped UPSC Civil Services 2023 exams. Now, the question arises who is Donuru Ananya Reddy, UPSC woman topper? 

 

Who is Donuru Ananya Reddy?

 

As per reports, Donuru Ananya Reddy hails from Telangana. Ananya has secured AIR 3 in UPSC CSE 2023. Reddy graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) in Geography from Miranda House, Delhi University. Her subject was Anthropology.

 

Reddy has been preparing for the UPSC civil services exam after her graduation. She is a cricket enthusiast and also likes to teach and mentor students. She was born in Hyderabad but brought up in Telangana. 

 

Talking to a Telangana news portal, Ananya revealed the secret of her success of cracking UPSC Civil Services. Ananya Reddy said except for coaching for Anthropology optional in Hyderabad she had self-prepared for the examination. "After the interview, I expected to be in the final selection list but not the third rank,” said Ananya as quoted by a portal. 

 

On her preparation, Ananya Reddy said she went with her strategy and studied about 12 to 14 hours a day before the exam.  Ananya further revealed that she will be first generation bureaucrat. She expected to qualify for Civil Services, however, she did not expect that she will top among female candidates. Ananya's father is self-employed and her mother, is a homemaker.
