Punjab Budget 2025-26: FM Cheema tables 'Badal Da Punjab' budget of Rs 2.36 Lakh Cr, GSDP witnessed 9% growth

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema on Wednesday tabled Punjab Budget 2025-26 under the theme of Badal Da Punjab. Finance Minister Harpal Cheema presented a budget of Rs 2,36,080 crores. FM Cheema during his address in the state assembly, announced that Punjab has now secured the 15th position in the country in per capita income. To boost Punjab's development, the government presented a Rs 2,36,080 crore budget aimed at driving economic progress. The state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) witnessed a 9% growth, reaching Rs 8.09 lakh crore this year, with a projected 10% growth in FY 2025-26. Additionally, tax revenue surged by 14%, indicating stronger financial health.
