With the rising Covid cases in Punjab, the government issued a fresh advisory on Thursday. In their recent guidelines, the government has made masks mandatory during public gatherings.

Principal Secretary, Home Department, Anurag Verma said that it is necessary to wear masks in all public transport including buses, trains, aircraft, and taxis. Apart from this, it is necessary to wear masks in crowded places like cinema halls, shopping malls, department stores and indoor gatherings including classrooms, and offices
.

In view of the rapidly increasing cases of corona in Punjab, the government is also on alert mode. Health Minister Dr. Vijay Singla held a meeting with civil surgeons. After which he said that there is nothing to worry about now. Still, we need to be careful. People should wear masks and avoid going to crowded places. However, it was also discussed in this meeting that if there is an increase in the cases, then the government can make it mandatory to apply masks in public places.
