On Wednesday, Punjab police killed the sharpshooters involved in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. The police also recovered the AK-47 by which Sidhu Moosewala was murdered.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the forensic team is conducting the investigation. The DGP along with ADGP Pramod Ban of Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) gave complete information about the encounter to CM Bhagwant Mann.
He said that the police went to nab the gangsters, but they opened fires on the force. When they fired with AK47, in self-defense, the police had an encounter with both of them.
He further said that the place where both of them were hiding is also being investigated. There is a possibility that both of them were trying to escape to Pakistan from the Indo-Pakistan border. They were in touch with Pakistan-based gangster terrorist Harvinder Rinda, the police will investigate this whole matter from all angles.
DGP said that the police will not glamorize gangsters in Punjab. Whatever category of gangsters there are, they will be eliminated. Being a gangster is not heroism.
