According to recent allegations, T-Series Managing Director Bhushan Kumar has been accused of rape.
On Friday, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against the film producer at the DN Nagar police station in Mumbai's Andheri (West).The victim is a 30-year-old woman who claims the 43-year-old music producer assaulted her under the pretext of a job in one of his upcoming projects.
The investigation is still ongoing, despite the fact that no arrests have been made so yet. Kumar has yet to reply to the allegations levelled against him.
“According to the complaint, Bhushan Kumar reportedly raped the woman under the guise of giving her with a job in one of his own company's projects,” the official told PTI. “The woman claimed he had cheated her, so she went to the cops,” he added.
Kumar has been charged under sections 376 (rape), 420 (cheating), and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, according to a police source (criminal intimidation).
Gulshan Kumar, commonly known as the "Cassette King," created T-Series, a music record label and film production company that was shot dead in Andheri in 1997.

Bhushan Kumar was accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous Twitter user during the peak of the #MeToo movement in 2018, when a number of cases were disclosed in the Bollywood film industry. According to one of the news channel, the woman stated in the tweet that she was dropped from the film because she "refused to sleep with the ‘boss.'"
Kumar, the son of late music tycoon Gulshan Kumar, has produced films such as "Haseen Dilruba" (2021), "Ludo" (2020), "Saina" (2020), "Kabir Singh" (2019), "Satyameva Jayate" (2018), "Aashiqui 2" (2013), and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" (2007). The production firm is looking forward to the release of Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan's 'Adipurush' and 'Ek Villain 2', starring Disha Patani and Tara Sutar, in 2022.
