In a major joint operation over multiple bomb attacks on Punjab Police stations, Punjab Police and UP Police neutrealised three terrorists linked to Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF). The three terrorists were accused of throwing grenades at Punjab Police stations. The three terrorists were killed by Punjab Police and Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in an encounter in Pilbhit. The terrorists have been identified as Virendra Singh alias Ravi, Gurvinder Singh, and Jasanpreet Singh.
As per the information received, all of them were residents of Gurdapur, Punjab. All of them came from laborer background. According to the police, all three chose the path of terrorism in the greed of earning more money.
Who are three terrorists killed in Police encounter by Punjab & UP Police?
Gurvinder was the most educated among the three. He had done 12th from a government school. On the other hand, Jasanpreet was married just 3 months ago. On December 19, terrorists attacked a police post in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab with a grenade. Ravi made the entire plan. He executed this plan through the gang leader Jagjit Singh sitting in the UK. After this, he left for UP. Punjab Police is investigating why he came to UP.
'Ravi- The Mastermind'
Reports further suggest that Ravi, a resident of Agwan village of Gurdaspur, was the mastermind among the terrorists killed. Both of Ravi's companions were working on his instructions. Ravi further contacted the kingpin. After this, they used to get money and other things.
Ravi was a resident of the ancestral village of Jagjit Singh alias Fateh Singh Baghi, a Khalistani terrorist working in the UK Army. It was through this that he started working for the Khalistani group. Ravi has 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Ravi was a truck driver and had no criminal record.
About Jasanpreet, Accused in Gurdaspur Police Station Bomb Attack
Jasanpreet got married three years ago, he had left home to work as a daily wage laborer. Jasanpreet Singh alias Pratap Singh's family lives in the border village Kalanaur. The family is very poor. The family is earning their livelihood by working as a labourer.
Jasanpreet's mother Paramjit Kaur was quoted by Dainik Bhaskar revealing that Ravi had taken him with him on the pretext of giving him daily wages as a driver. He has not returned home since then.
She said that there was no trace of Jasanpreet for 8 days. His phone was also switched off. The family was very worried. On Monday morning it was learnt that Jasanpreet had been killed in an encounter. Paramjit Kaur said that Jasanpreet has 2 more brothers. They are earning their livelihood by working as labourers. All the three sons are illiterate. The family is struggling with poverty
Jasanpreet's wife Gurpreet Kaur said that he got married 3 months ago. Last Tuesday (17 December) Jasanpreet left home. This was the first time that he went out of the village for daily wages. After this, there was no trace of him.
Adopted Gurvinder, killed him in Gurdaspur
The third terrorist Gurvinder Singh was also a resident of Rahimabad village in Kalanaur area of Gurdaspur. Gurvinder's father Gurdev Singh adopted him from his aunt, because he did not have any children of his own.
Mother Sarabjit said that Gurvinder was the only son. He left home after having food. He did not come home for 3-4 days. According to information, a few years ago he killed a youth by drowning him in a canal in Kila Lal Singh village. After this, a case of murder was registered and he was arrested. He was on bail. After the murder, he left his parents and started living alone in Kalanaur. He studied till 12th standard.
