With India going through lockdown, a shameful incident has come into the limelight from a village in Gujarat Surat district. An 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 13-year-old boy on Thursday evening when her parents left her alone in the house to withdraw cash from an ATM.
As per police, the medical care was administered to the survivor at a hospital in the vicinity and she was stable. Her parents are natives of Uttar Pradesh and a few years ago, they had moved to Gujarat.
Teenager Tempted The Minor
As per a report by a news organization, after the girl's parents departed from the house, the 13-year-old accused, who stays in the same locality, allegedly arrived at their residence and tempted the girl by offering to buy her sweets from a shop in the neighborhood.
Physical Assault and Rape
The girl came under the temptation thought that he would purchase sweets for her. However, he allegedly went with her to an empty room in his house. After arriving in the room, the accused slapped the minor girl and raped her, the police stated. The girl then came back home after the dreadful act of the accused. In some time, the couple came back home and discovered their daughter in tears. Upon asking, the minor narrated the entire ordeal to them.
Accused boy's parents assault survivor's father
The police stated that the victim girl parents went to the accused boy house and raised objections before his parents. A quarrel broke out between the two parties and the boy parents allegedly thrashed the survivor father.
Accused Arrested
After the quarrel, the affected girl father filed a complaint with the police. He accused has been booked under Sections 376 (2) (f) (Commits rape on woman when she is under 12 years of age), 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) and under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
An officer privy to the investigation said that the accused boy was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and was later sent to a judicial remand home.
