16 soldiers belonging to the 32nd Battalion of BSF have tested positive for coronavirus in Ajnala after coming back on their assigned duty area. These soldiers, earlier, were deployed across the nation during the lockdown. After coming back, their blood samples were taken for the tests and they turned out to be coronavirus positive.
Reportedly, all the infected soldiers have been sent to institutional quarantine.
According to the SDM Ajnala Dr. Deepak Bhatia, samples of 66 soldiers were taken for the testing, of which 2 turned out to be positive a few days ago.
Health Department has come into full swing to curb the spread of contagious disease and is tracing the contacts of the infected BSF soldiers.
