In a dreaded incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly held captive and raped by her father in Sirsoda village of Bhind, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place on Saturday evening inside her house where she lives with her parents.
The victim who called the police from her mother's phone claimed that her mother was also in the house when she was being raped. Realising that his daughter has called the police the accused, identified as Arvind Sharma, fled the spot. He also threatened to kill his daughter.
"We received a complaint on phone on late Saturday evening but the accused had already fled when we reached the spot. The victim with several injury marks was rescued from the spot and a case of rape has been registered against him," Sub Inspector Kamal Kant Dubey posted at the Gohad police station said.
The victim in her statement to the police said that her father used to thrash her without any reason since her childhood as he always wanted a male child.
"My mother used to try to protect and help me but he used to thrash her as well as he blamed her for not giving birth to a male child. On Saturday he first locked me inside the room and raped me after thrashing me," the victim said in her complaint.
