Amidst the presence of many high-profile Hollywood stars and the Royal family, the 2023 BAFTA Awards finally kickstarted with host Richard opening the show with his monologue. As the show went on, winners started to get declared. However, it took very less time when BAFTA 2023 came under the social media scanner. The BAFTA 2023 goof-up became the talk of the town when Carey Mulligan was mistakenly announced as Best Supporting Actress. However, it was soon changed and the 2023 BAFTA Awards for Best Supporting Actress went to Kerry Cordon. Kerry Condon was announced as the winner of Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Banshees Of Inisherin. Interestingly, Carey Mulligan was also nominated under the same category for her movie "She Said". However, it was Kerry Cordon who ultimately became the winner. Interestingly, the BAFTA 2023 mistake was edited out of the television broadcast in a very clumsy way indeed.
Here's what the fans said-
