There are numerous cases of sexual harassment of a woman in India. There are no places left where women have not been sexually harassed, be it a workplace, home, school, colleges or even a public market. However, a recent case came into limelight in which a bus conductor tried to sexually harass a woman. The case becomes more serious as it took place inside a bus in front of fellow passengers.
As per reports, the conductor came and sat next to the girl when she boarded the bus. He then started touching her inappropriately and told her to keep quiet or else it will be her who'll be defamed.
However, the girl tried to gather proof and decided to film the harassment. When the conductor came to know that she was recording him, he reportedly snatched her phone and took her number so that she could 'stay in touch' with him.
The girl got up near Belur Cross and slapped the conductor on his face and got off the bus. Then she boarded another bus and forwarded the video to her parents and friends. Later she filed a police complaint. The girl and her family and friends waited at Yeshwantpur bus stand for the bus to return from Hassan and thrashed the conductor once they found him.
The conductor was identified as Esubu Ali Tallura, 33, who hails from Belagav. He is now arrested by the Police and also suspended by the KSRTC.
