Greta Thunberg, a climate activists from Sweden had posted a 'Tookit' on Twitter to allegedly help farmers protesting at the borders around Delhi. The Delhi Police had registered a case and several politicians and even the Prime Minister had said that there is a larger international conspiracy to malign image of India.
Now the police have arrested a 21 year old climate activist from Bengaluru in the case. Disha Ravi is one of the founders of "Friday for Future."
The case was registered on February 4 related to the toolkit. The Delhi police had claimed that the toolkit that was uploaded by Greta and later on updated predates the violence in Delhi.
Praveer Ranjan, Delhi Police Commissioner said, "The call was to wage economic, social, cultural and regional war against India."
Ranjan added, "We have registered a case for
spreading disaffection against the government of India - it's regarding
sedition - and disharmony between groups on religious, social and cultural
grounds, and criminal conspiracy to give shape to such a plan."
