22892 youths receive self-employment loans in Jalandhar under Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobaar Scheme in 2020: MLA Sushil Rinku & DC Ghanshyam Thori

 Terming Ghar-Ghar Rozgar and Karobaar Mission a milestone step to deal unemployment and making the youths more self-reliant, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jalandhar West Sushil Kumar Rinku and Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) has facilitated as many as 22892 youths of Jalandhar who have availed self-employment loans under various schemes during previous year 2020.

Participating in the virtual culmination of State Level Self-Employment Loan Mela and celebration of National Girl Child Day, they said that DBEE had organized several self-employment loan Melas in 2020 for providing financial support to the youths so that they can start their ventures under various programs including Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Program (PMEGP), Prime Minister Mudra Yojna, and Start-Up India.  

They added that DBEE has been also acting as a catalyst to help the youth in getting loans for self-employment so that they can live their life with dignity and pride. They said the DBEE has been actively involved in creating awareness amongst the youth to ensure that they could take benefit of government schemes that could help in making youth self-reliant.

Sushil Kumar Rinku and Ghanshyam Thori said that a large number of youths would be able to open their vistas and would become partners in the socio-economic growth of the state. 

They stated efforts are being made by the administration to ensure that the entrepreneurship skills of the youth are further harnessed by extending other necessary support to them.

Meanwhile, the MLA and Deputy Commissioner also honoured 51 women beneficiaries of various welfare programs including Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Digital Parents Maargdarshak Program, driving class training and self-defence programs on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. 

Prominent among present on the occasion included Additional Deputy Commissioners Vishesh Sarangal, Jasbir Singh, Assistant Commissioner Hardeep Singh, Deputy Director DBEE Jaswant Rai, DPO Gurminder Randhawa and others.
