Three of out four 'rebel' Cabinet ministers, who were demanding change of guard in Punjab, skipped the Cabinet meeting on Friday.

Reportedly, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, and Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, were not the part of online cabinet meeting, while Charanjit Singh Channi attended the meet and welcomed the decision of Capt-led-Congress government to waive off loans upto Rs.50,000 each, of the loaness of the PSCFC and BACKFINCO.

Though the reason why Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, and Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria didn't attend the meeting is yet not known, sources say the ongoing crisis are yet not over, and the three ministers are upset over unfulfilled poll promises of their own government.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the four ministers -- Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Charanjit Singh Channi and Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria along with the support of at least 20 other Congress legislators opened a revolt against Punjab CM, demanding his replacement.

It may be noted that these four ministers met Harish Rawat in Dehradun on Wednesday, to apprise him over the widespread dissidence among the party ranks and raised a number of issues, including the existence of sand, drug, cable and transport mafias.

However, Harish Rawat made a clear stance that Punjab CM Capt Amarinder will lead the 2022 elections, while they’ll look into the current crisis and everyone would be given a chance to keep their issues.

He said, “Four and a half years have passed by. It was good. But suddenly what has happened, why a large number of MLAs are disappointed? We will see and find a solution to it", he added.
