As many as 37,339 students, which included 19000 of class 10th and 18339 of class 8th, belonging to the government and government aided schools, today took Punjab State Talent Search Examination across the state.
As many as 22596 students of class 8th and 22627 of class 10th have got them registered for the examination for which 110 and 109 examination centres were set up to ensure free and smooth conduct of examination.
The Examination was conducted by the State Council of Education and Research ( SCERT). The Nodal Officers of the Education Department from the state headquarter and the District Education Officers conducted surprise inspections of the examination centres.
The Education Department , with a view to prepare the students for the competitive scholarship examination has organised special virtual coaching classes in different districts. The students were provided simplified material and google quizzes were also organised. The government school teachers also held physical classes to clear the doubts of the students at the block and district level while adhering to the COVID-19 precautions for the convenience of the students.
