5 upcoming changes from December 1, UAN-AADHAR linking mandatory for PF

As November is coming to an end, there are a few things that might change from December and people must know the changes taking place from next month. From banking to EPFO there will be five changes that would come into effect from December 1. 
 
UAN linking with Aadhaar card


If your Universal Account Number (UAN) is not linked with your Aadhaar card by 30 November, you might not receive the money or salary into your account that is paid by your company. Apart from this, if you do not link the Aadhar card, you may also face problems in withdrawing money from the EPF account.

SBI credit card 

SBI customers will have to pay an additional Rs 99 for shopping using an SBI credit card from next month. Customers will have to pay Rs 99 and tax on separate purchases. This is also known as a processing charge. According to SBI, from December 1, 2021, all merchant EMI transactions will have to pay Rs 99 as processing charge and tax. This has been first implemented by SBI Credit Card.


Change in Punjab National Bank Interest Rates 


The country's second-largest bank Punjab National Bank’s (PNB) new rule has come as a shock for the account holders. The bank has decided to cut the interest rates on the savings account from 2.90 to 2.80% per annum. The new rates will be applicable from December 1.

Price of a matchbox to be doubled 
 
The price of a matchbox will be doubled after 14 years. From December 1, 2021,  a box of matches will cost Rs 2 instead of Rs 1. The last time the price of matches was increased from 50 paise to Rs 1 in 2007. The reason behind the increase in prices is the increase in the prices of raw materials used for making matches.

Gas cylinder prices may decrease 


Government oil companies usually review the price of LPG cylinders in the first week of every month. The emergence of new coronavirus in South Africa has triggered alarm across the world causing a huge drop in the price of raw materials. In such a case, it is expected that during the review that will take palace on December 1, the prices of LPG cylinders might decline.
