Six female teachers have been arrested in the United States in just two days for sexual misconduct with students. The incidents have shocked the nation and raised concerns about the safety of students in schools.
One of the teachers, Ellen Shell, 38, from Danville, was charged with third-degree rape after being accused of having sexual intercourse on three occasions with two 16-year-old boys. Shell was a teacher's aide at Woodlawn Elementary School and was previously employed at Lancaster Elementary School. She has been placed on administrative leave.

Other teachers who were arrested include Heather Hare, 32, from Arkansas, who is facing a first-degree felony assault rape charge for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a teen student. Emily Hancock, 26, from Oklahoma, was also arrested for allegedly having a relationship with a student. Emma Delaney Hancock, a substitute teacher in Lincoln County, has been charged in connection with an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student. Kristen Gantt, 36, an English teacher at a Catholic high school in Des Moines, Iowa, was also arrested for allegedly having sex with a teen student multiple times inside and outside her school. Allieh Kheradmand, 33, a teacher at James Madison High School, was charged with sexual misconduct with a student over the course of several months. And finally, Hannah Marth, 26, a javelin coach from Pennsylvania, was arrested for sexual misconduct with a 17-year-old boy she coached.
The accused teachers will now face legal proceedings and possible imprisonment if convicted.
