As the current humanitarian situation in Afghanistan is getting worse day by day, people are making desperate attempts to escape the Taliban's rule. Amid this chaos, nations are struggling to evacuate their citizens and those who want to take refuge.
India by far has made around 3 to 4 evacuation operations and a total of 78 people, including 25 Indian nationals were brought to India today. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, all of these refugees travelled from Tajikistan's Dushanbe to New Delhi via a special flight.
It is reported that they were flown out of Kabul to Dushanbe by an Indian Air Force aircraft.
“Helping in the safe return from Afghanistan. AI 1956 en route to Delhi from Dushanbe carrying 78 passengers, including 25 Indian nationals. Evacuees were flown in from Kabul on an @IAF_MCC aircraft,” tweeted the MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi.
