Recently, many were thinking that the government would reinforce the hike in dearness allowance (DA) from this month but this doesn’t seem to occur anymore as new reports are suggesting that the hike will be observed from September 2021 onwards which calls for the celebration of over 1 crore Indian citizens.

The decision was taken on June 26 after the meeting between officials of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM), the Ministry of Finance, and the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT).

The National Council of JCM has issued a letter related to the same and it points out that the June 26 meeting on DA hike restoration ended on a positive note. It was issued by the office of JCM Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra.
