In a much anticipated decision of the United Nations Security Council over declaring Masood Azhar as a 'global terrorist', China has yet again blocked the move and saved the Jaish-e-Mohammad chief for the fourth consecutive time.
US had earlier warned China of the consequences if it blocks the resolution in the UN Security Council but China had still hinted of supporting Masood Azhar and using the 'technical hold' provision.
After the heinous Pulwama Terror attack on CRPF Jawans, Jaish-e-Mohammad took the responsibility of the attack and France, in support to India, had moved a resolution in the United Nations Security Council to blacklist the Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar.
China had, earlier also, used the 'technical hold' provision thrice when India, UK and US moved the resolution at three different occasions.
The global impact of this move on China's international relations is to be seen yet as US had warned of the economic ties to weaken if China saves Masood Azhar yet again.
