New Delhi: The Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday put a pause over the release of much awaited biopic of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Row erupted when political parties like the Congress, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India (CPI) advanced to the EC urging that the film release be delayed till the elections on May 19, as it would otherwise influence the voters in violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

Terming the same ‘Model code of conduct’, the EC decided to halt the screening of ‘Modi’ till the Lok Sabha elections ends.
