It all about women empowerment, Gucci Cruise 2020 collection supporting the reproductive rights of women. In an interview the brand Creative Director Alessandro Michele said “The show is a hymn to freedom... that allows him to express his belief in the idea of self-determination and gender equality.”
The show to disclose the Cruise collection took place at Capitolini Museums in Rome. Models walked down the ramp in clothing all designed with the slogan “My Body My Choice”. A designer was seen in a blazer where the slogan was stitched on the back, in a gown with an embroidered female reproductive system complimented with flowers. The date May 22, 1978 was written on some dresses which symbolizes the legalization of abortion in Italy for the social protection of motherhood.
