On Thursday, one person scumbbed to death and 32 others were gravely injured in a massive grenade blast in a bus stand of Jammu. The injured were rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital for treatment. In a press conference, IGP Jammu Manish K Sinha said that Hizbul Mujahideen was responsible for the attack. Yasir Bhatt, who allegedly threw the grenade at the bus stand, was arrested by the cops just a few hours after the attack.

The attacked bus stand is located in the heart of Jammu city and people have been advised to stay away from the spot. The blast came in the background of the February 14 Pulwama terror attack. The state has been on high alert since the deadly Pulwama Terror Attack and also escalated tensions between India and Pakistan.
