New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Saturday tweeted in Assamese, “I am very keen to meet the brothers and sisters of Assam.” In Assam he will be addressing a gathering in Moran town of Assam Dibrugarh district. Later, he will be moving to Ghaigaon in Gohpur. Modi also assured that he is strongly committed to fulfil the 'asha-akanksha’ (hopes and aspirations) of the youth of the state.
Modi further wrote in another missive, “Would be addressing a rally in Also, Arunachal Pradesh today. Over the last few years, the BJP Government in Arunachal in the state has done exceptional work in various sectors. I will request the people of the state to bless BJP in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha polls.”

PM Modi visit follows BJP president Amit Shah visit to the state on Thursday. Amit Shah had addressed two rallies in Kaliabor and Jorhat Parliamentary constituencies.
Arunachal Pradesh, in addition to the Lok Sabha polls on April 11, will go in for 60-member state assembly on the same day. In Assam, the first phase of polls voting will be held in Tezpur, Kaliabor, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur and Jorhat, in Assam.
