Mumbai: Some were super excited and whereas some criticised the new onscreen pairing of heartthrob Alia Bhatt and the Bhaijan of Bollywood Salman Khan. They will be seen sharing the screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali upcoming venture titled ‘Inshallah’, as reported.
As the announcement was made, many tweets started pouring in saying that both the actors will make a great pair on screen. As the wave of excitement started calming down, the critics started coming up with their confusions. They were apparently upset about the huge gap of 27 years between the two. Criticising the same one user wrote, "Is Alia playing Salman Khan's daughter?" While another really concerned user wrote, "Will the two romance? Alia is 26, Khan is 53."

However, Alia Bhatt is totally positive about her pairing opposite Salman Khan. When asked about the reactions received, Alia said: “I didn’t get any criticism. I think I got a lot of excitement. I think speculation is also a form of excitement in a way and why shouldn’t there be speculation. There should be and at least I am not bothered by that and I don’t think Salman or Bhansali Sir are bothered. I think this is a filmmaker who has given us very good films, he is someone who we all are very fond of and I think we should just trust him with his vision.” She clearly stated that Salman Khan and Bhansali are least bothered about any kind of nitpicking.

Currently, Alia Bhatt is busy with the promotions of her upcoming period drama ‘Kalank’. The movie which includes a big starcast of Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, SanjayDutt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, is set to hit the theatres on 17th April. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is gearing up for ‘Bharat’ release in June and is simultaneously shooting for Dabangg 3.
