A senior Railway official informed that after the two countries agreed to revive the operations of the Samjhauta Express, the train will leave for Pakistan from Delhi on Sunday. The announcement follows the release of Air Force Wing Commander Abhinadan Varthaman from Pakistan custody. The officials have informed that the first train from India will leave on 3rd March.

While Pakistan cancelled its services right after an air strike by the Indian Air Force, India had cancelled the operations of the Samjhauta Express on February 28. The trail will depart fron New Delhi on Sunday and will from Lahor it will leave on Monday.

On the Indian side the train runs from Delhi to Attari and from Lahore to Wagah on the Pakistan side.
