body of Sukhbir Singh (28), a resident of village Gill of Nakodar Sadar police station in Jalandhar, was recovered from his car. Kapurthala police have started investigating the case. Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been sent for a postmortem.


According to the information received, Sukhbir Singh left home yesterday to attend the wedding of his known in village, Dalla, in Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthala. But Sukhbir's body was found in his car near Bhulath in Kapurthala. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of the Bhulath police station reached out to investigate. SHO of Bhulath police station, Sarjinder Singh, said that at around 11.30 pm, a person crossing nearby saw that the car of the said person lay down on the road and an unconscious person was sitting in the car. After this, he searched his phone, and a call was made to his house.


SHO Sarjinder Singh said that passersby took Sukhbir to the hospital. Where he was declared dead by the doctors. The hospital administration immediately informed the police about the matter. Because even the doctors have not yet found the cause of the leader's death. SHO further said that, at present, there was no mark of any kind on the body of the deceased. The cause of death will be known in the postmortem report. Based on the family's statements, the police have taken action under CrPC 174.
