Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday gave a major update linked to Raghav Chadha's health. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has been in the UK for the past two months to undergo eye surgery. As a result, Raghav Chadha is away from the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign. AAP major leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia are in jail and therefore many conspiracy theories and fake news were doing rounds on social media over Raghav Chadha's absence. Finally, AAP Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj revealed what happened to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha-
"He is in the UK. There was a complication in his eyes and I was told that it was quite critical that he might have lost his eyesight as well. He has gone there to get treatment. I have my best wishes with him. He will be back soon in good health and will join the campaign."
For the unversed, it was reported that the AAP leader is in the UK to undergo a vitrectomy surgery to prevent the eye’s retinal detachment. This condition is characterised by the development of small holes in the retina. It is extremely dangerous for vision and needs to be treated right away to avoid permanent damage.
FIR against YouTube Channel for defaming Raghav Chadha
An FIR has been filed against the YouTube Channel Capital TV. The FIR has been registered at Shimlapuri police station in Ludhiana against Capital TV on the complaint of Vikas Parashar, son of AAP candidate from Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat, Ashok Pappi Parashar. The complainant in his FIR says, "The statements/contents of false videos on Capital TV channel and others shall harm the public peace and harmony…and is likely to promote enmity between different groups in the country on grounds of religion, caste, race, and community.."
"Vijay Mallya fled to the UK after taking public money, and similarly, a Rajya Sabha member left for England, claiming it was for eye treatment," claimed the YouTube channel as per the FIR.
Not only this, the complainant alleged that Raghav Chadha is a Khalistani supporter as he met UK MP Preet Gill. Notably, Capital TV has 3.98 million subscribers on YouTube and it regularly shares news videos.
