Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Khadoor Sahib MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura on Wednesday in fresh accusations slammed Tarn Taran's SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan of threatening his relatives by filing fake complaints after he flagged corruption in Tarn Taran Police a few days on social media. Slamming Tarn Taran SSP, Lalpura in his social media post stated that he is relinquishing his Police security as Gurmeet Singh Chauhan tipped a CIA (Crime Investigation Agency) personnel who actually threatened him by saying that it will be the Police who will save him and his family if any gangster attacks them.
Lalpura in his detailed note called Tarn Taran's SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan a person who is hand in hand with thieves. Not only this, the AAP MLA labeled Tarn Taran's SSP as a coward as he allegedly sent a team of Police officials to his relatives' place just to tremble them. Citing a CIA official, Lalpura stated that many MLAs and their family lives have been ruined due to gangsters in a veiled threat to the AAP MLA and his family. Fumed at threats and raids, AAP MLA Lalpura relinquished his Police security challenging him to do whatever he wanted. Not only this, Lalpura stated that the CIA official informed him that he pays Rs 25 lakh per month to Taran Tarn's SSP. "Then I wondered why have you kept such an addict as a CIA officer," said Lalpura adding, "I welcome the fake complaints registered by you against my relatives. Only a coward can target someone's family."
AAP’s Khadoor Sahib MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura ultimately issued a challenge saying that he will give a perfect reply to this. He reiterated that Tarn Taran police don't work without money.
What did Manjinder Lalpur say earlier?
As per reports, a few days back, Lalpura had alleged that Tarn Taran police works only for money by saying, “The people have been complaining to me that besides making “fake reports of grievous injuries, fake cases are also being registered by police by taking bribes in Tarn Taran”. He also posted his concern in a Facebook post, which was later deleted. While talking to a portal, AAP MLA had further stated that he brought the issues to the attention of Tarn Taran SSP, but no action was taken so far. Five days ago, a video was circulated on social media in which a man claimed that he was giving Rs 10,000 per month to ASI Lakhwinder Singh, who is posted in Goindwal Sahib, for allowing him to smuggle drugs. The issue was brought to the SSP’s notice.
