AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal reaches Amritsar after completing 10-day Vipassana in Hoshairpur

As per reports, AAP National Convenor Avrind Kejriwal is scheduled to hold a meeting with various legislators of Punjab in Amritsar.

Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor & former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday reached Amritsar after completing 10 days of Vipassana in Hoshairpur. Arvind Kejriwal had arrived in Hoshiarpur on March 5th for his Vipassana session, along with his wife Sunita. The AAP National Convenor did meditation at the Dhamma Dhaj Vipassana Yoga Center near Anandgarh in Hoshiarpur. 

As per reports, the former Delhi CM has gone straight to the residence of Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, a former minister and MLA from Amritsar. The duration of his stay there has not been disclosed. On Sunday, reports suggest that Avrind Kejriwal is scheduled to hold a meeting with various legislators in Amritsar. It is also reported that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is expected to arrive in Amritsar soon.

Additionally, on Monday, Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Mann will be heading to Ludhiana, where they are set to address a rally.

Dhamma Dhaja Vipassana Centre near Hoshairpur, Punjab

As per the official website of the Vipasana Center near Hoshairpur, Dhamma Dhaja means 'Flag of Dhamma' and it is located at Village Anandgarh, 12 kms from Hoshiarpur District. Dhamma Dhaja Vipassana Centre is located in the foothills of Shivalik Mountains range.

Dhamma Dhaja is relatively close to Dhamma Sikhara, Dharamshala, and caters to the overflow of Dhamma Sikhara. Presently the Centre is having 52 male accoomodation (including 36 single attached rooms) and  38 females accomodation (including 18 single attached rooms). The Centre is also having Pagoda with 68 inidvidual meditation cells.

The centre teaches courses that were formed by Satya Narayan Goenka, or S.N. Goenka who passed away in 2013. He was originally from Burma (Myanmar), and had been teaching Vipasana in India since 1969. Satya Narayan Goenka breathed his last in September 2013 at the age of 89.

Notably, Arvind Kejriwal had previously visited the Center in 2023 for a meditation retreat.
