Aam Aadmi Party's lone MP Sushil Rinku on Thursday was suspended from the Lok Sabha for the remainder of the monsoon session 2023 after he threw papers at the chair in protest against the Delhi services bill, or the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023. Not only this, Jalandhar MP Sushil Rinku in his address to the parliament outlined how the Delhi Services Bill is an attempt to snatch the powers from the elected government and keep it with the non-elected. For those who are unaware, the Supreme Court of India in its verdict handed over control of "services" in the NCT administration to the Delhi government and it was indeed a big win for the Kejriwal government in Delhi. However, the Central government issued the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 that overturned the Supreme Court judgment. And, hence Union Home Minister Amit Shah tabled the Delhi Services Bill in the parliament in order to make it official over-ruling the Supreme Court's verdict.
Notably, Sushil Rinku's suspension did not crush his spirits as he participated in a silent sit-in along with another suspended AAP leader Sanjay Jha. Sushil Rinku participated in a sit-in to voice the Manipur issue seeking PM Modi's response and discussion over the issue. Interestingly, TMC leader & Bollywood veteran actor Satrughan Sinha recently came to the Sushil Rinku and Manoj Jha to express his admiration and praised the AAP Lok Sabha MP for his aggressive yet positive approach in the parliament. Sources in the known developments informed True Scoop News that Sushil Rinku even got a special call from Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann for raising his voice against the Delhi services and outlining the issues of Punjab.

'Suspended for protecting democracy': AAP MP Sushil Rinku slams Centre over Delhi services bill
Following his suspension, Sushil on Thursday said, "The Constitution is breaking, the federal system of the country is in danger...It is an insult to the Constitution when the powers of the elected government are given to non-elected bureaucrats. The vigilance department is in the hands of the Central govt. The court will decide who is corrupt and not...I do not regret that I was suspended for raising my voice for the people and protecting Democracy."
It is pertinent to mention here that the Delhi services bill 2023 was passed in the Lok Sabha amid uproar in the House. Several Opposition members walked out of the House after the bill was passed. Now, the bill will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha where the alliance of I.N.D.I.A may come together to keep the bill from passing.
