What happened to Aaron Carter?
As per reports, after his cause of death was initially deferred, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has officially determined the singer died in November due to drowning. Secondary causes were listed as the effects of alprazolam, which is sold under the brand Xanax, and difluoroethane, a compressed gas. His death was ruled an accident and the case is closed. The autopsy says that Aaron became "incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects" of the substances and drowned. It is pertinent to mention here that Aaron's family claimed the coroner had told them there was no water found in his lungs, and they believed he had died of a drug overdose. According to the autopsy report, there were multiple cans of Surf Onn compressed air found in A bathroom and bedroom. Additionally, authorities found several prescription bottles in the home.
Aaron's fiancée, Melanie Martin, was quoted by the portal who stated that she thought drugs were what killed him -- you'll recall, he had a serious substance abuse problem in the years leading up to his death. As we previously reported, cops found cans of compressed air and prescription pills in Aaron's bedroom and bathroom.

The portal further quoted the late singer's family and fiance on the autopsy report as well. "The results of the autopsy are not closure for me. It claims death is by drowning but also adds he was wearing a t-shirt and necklace in the bathtub which doesn't make sense, why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on? I am still in shock and still miss Aaron every day. I don’t understand the chain of events and this report only has us asking more questions," said the singer's ex fiance.
