Recently, the first look at Kartik Aaryan & actress Sreelela's upcoming movie was released on the T-Series YouTube channel. Created by Anurag Basu, Kartik Aaryan, and Sreeleela's upcoming movie teaser is said to be of Aashiqui 3. However, the makers have not mentioned Aashiqui 3 Title in the teaser. Hence, speculations over the Aashiqui 3 name have been brewing once again.
Why Aashiqui 3 is not the title of Kartik Aaryan and Sreelela's upcoming movie?
As per reports, T-Series has put the speculations around Aashiqui 3 to rest with a note that reads, "Watch the mesmerizing first look of the untitled film" quoted by HT. As per the report, Aashiqui 3 was initially supposed to be co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. For the unversed, veteran filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt has produced the first two Aashiqui installments. In March 2024, Bhushan Kumar announced that he was producing the film alone. There were talks about the film being made under the title 'Tu Aashiqui Hai'.
However, reports claimed the lead actor Kartik Aaryan was keen on having it as part of the Aashiqui franchise. In September 2024, Mukesh Bhatt took to court over the title. The Delhi High Court ruled in his favour, prohibiting T-Series from using the title.
If neither Mukesh Bhatt nor Bhushan Kumar have come to a consensus then the Delhi High Court ruling will come to the fore.
If followed Delhi High Court's ruling, the term Aashiqui cannot be used in the film's title. The makers are free to use the songs of the previous two franchises, as T-Series owns the rights to the music. The report quoted sources saying that the makers are still hoping for some compromise, hoping to convince the Bhatts to let them use Aashiqui in the title, leading to delays in an official title announcement.

As announced in the teaser, Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela starrer movie will hit the theaters on Diwali 2025. It means the film is likely to hit the theaters between October 18 to October 21, 2025.
