Recently popular singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya marked his presence in India’s popular singing reality show Indian Idol season 15 in a special episode. The special episode features legendary singers from the Bollywood industry, including Sadhna Sargam, Lalit Pandit, and Abhijeet Bhattacharya, along with his wife, Sumati Bhattacharya, and famous actress Preeti Jhangiani. In this episode, Abhijeet Bhattacharya said something that contradicted his own opinion about singers performing at weddings.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya flipped from his statement
At one time, Abhijeet Bhatachrya criticised singers who perform at weddings. This opinion led to his fight with popular singer Neha Kakkar. Abhijeet criticised singers for performing at weddings, whereas Neha Kakkar supported that singers can sing at weddings because of which Abhijeet scolded her.
But it seems that Abhijeet Bhattacharya has changed his mind. Recently, when Abhijeet appeared on a special episode of Indian Idol season 15, he promised one of the contestants to sing at her wedding, which surprised everyone.
During the special episode, a contestant named Mansi raised a question regarding the past comments of Abhijeet Bhattacharya on singers performing at weddings. Abhijeet managed to answer this question softly. He said how much everyone would scold him for the comment that he had made.
The singer also stated that he did not sing at his own wedding because the environment was not suitable, because of which his father-in-law, out of frustration, didn't give him money to even tailor a suit.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya promised the contestant that he would sing at her wedding with a band. He said, “At weddings, soulful songs should be played, but I will surely sing at your wedding with a band. I, Lalit, Vishal, and Shreya will sing.”
Earlier, when Abhijeet was invited to the show of which Neha Kakkar was also a part, both the singers got into a heated argument. During this argument, Abhijeet said he does not like singers who perform at weddings.
He also claimed that it diminishes the status of the singers. Furthermore, he said that even if someone invites him to sing at their wedding, he will surely deny the offer. He said, " Koi bhi paisa diya aur shaadi mein gaane lage , usme aukaat kam ho jati hai. Mai bol deta hu mai nhi gaunga. Duniya ki koi takat tumhe khareed nhi sakti."
