Abhishek Bachchan was recently seen in the Hindi drama film, ‘Be Happy,’ which shows the dedication and hard work of a single father whose daughter wants to become a dancer and wants to compete in a dance reality show. The film is filled with the emotional relationship of a father with his daughter. Abhishek is portraying a role named Shiv, and the daughter’s role is played by Inayat Verma, who acts as Dhara in the movie.

While having a conversation with NDTV, Remo D’Souza disclosed, “The story of Be Happy was with me for years. I always wanted to tell an emotional story that shows the relationship between a father and a daughter in depth. The inspiration for this film came from the real stories I got during dance reality shows, where I saw how children run after their dreams despite the difficulties in their lives.”
He furthermore mentioned, “I then thought that a similar story should be brought to the big screen. With the help of a brilliant writers team, this story took shape, and whoever heard it found it immediately touching the heart. This film is very close to my heart because it is completely different from any of my films to date.”
In addition to this, he also said that according to him, Abhishek Bachchan was the perfect fit for the role of Shiv, and he was his first and last choice. Remo can be quoted as saying, “He is a great actor, and even though he is a good dancer, the audience does not directly associate him with dance. This contrast was perfect for this role. I wanted the character to have a touch that shows the truth of not being a professional dancer. Abhishek has surprised me in every scene, and I am excited that the audience will also see his depth and emotion in this film.”
