One of Indian cinema's renowned veteran filmmaker-director Mahesh Manjrekar had recently undergone surgery for bladder cancer. The surgery happened 10 days ago.
The actor's condition is stable now after the successful completion of the surgery. Currently, Manjrekar is back home and is recuperating from the well from post-surgery, a source close to him said.
Meanwhile, Saiee Manjrekar said that she doesn't want to narrate his story and all this has been filled with mixed emotions.

Sharing about his health condition, Saiee said, “He is fine now. He’s doing much better. Also, the thing is that I can’t say anything right now. I don’t think dad is very comfortable with anything coming out now. So I am just waiting for him to give his hand of experience and his takeaway from this."
He has been very strong through all this, Saiee adds, saying she is proud of him.
On the work front, Mahesh Manjrekar has been working with the Bollywood remake of his blockbuster Marathi film 'Mulshi Pattern', which has been named 'Antim: The Final Truth' in Hindi. The Hindi version stars Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and Salman himself in lead.

Mahesh had played the role of an alcoholic in the original movie.
Further, he has also announced two directorial titled ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’ and ‘White’.
