In what came as a shock and heartbreaking development for Brazilian fans, a fitness influencer named Adriana "Drika" Thyssen died at the age of 49. Adriana Thyssen's death was confirmed through a post on the Instagram account by her clothing brand. In a statement on Adriana Thyssen's death, the post stated, "It is with deep sadness and regret that our team and family Blog da Drika and Drikas Store inform you of the death of our dear Drika. In this moment of pain, we ask for everyone's prayers and compassion." Adriana Thyssen was an inspiring fitness influencer who was once overweight herself, however, she overcame it by losing almost 100lbs in just over a year and used to share her journey with her followers. As per Brazilian media reports, Adriana Thyssen's dead body was found in her apartment on Sunday and the police are still investigating to solve her death mystery. Adriana Thyssen was buried at a private funeral at Cemitério Bom Jesus in Araguari in her native state of Minas Gerais. Reports quoted a woman claiming to be Adriana's cousin from Sao Paulo, who informed that the influencer, as a public figure, had been bullied, hinting she might have died by suicide. But it is worth mentioning that True Scoop News cannot confirm it as the matter is still being investigated.
Adriana Thyssen's cousin was quoted saying, "She was strong, for a long, long time. She always looked for love and only received crumbs..Haters have already done too much, so at this moment, I ask everyone for compassion, understanding and empathy."

Adriana Thyssen was a well-known influencer in Brazil with 1.7 million Facebook followers. She also ran a plus-sized active wear and clothing label called "Drikas Store". Adriana Thyssen's brand account had nearly 76,000 followers on Instagram. It is pertinent to mention here that Adriana Thyssen had previously admitted that she had struggled with being overweight since she was a teenager.
In one of her earlier posts, Adriana had stated, "I started the fight on 02/18/13, I weighed 107kg (236lbs), I wasn't pregnant and I didn't have bariatric surgery. I was unemployed and with my husband, I was in debt at the bank." She further added that she tried countless diets and was "chronically addicted to amphetamines for 18 years," which led her down a spiral of depression and alcoholism.
