In a tragic & spine-chilling accident, Adrienne Vaughan, Bloomsbury USA Chief which published world-famous Harry Potter books died in a fatal speedboat collision in Italy's Amalfi Coast. Adrienne Vaughan was 45 when she died in front of her husband & children by drowning in the water following the horrific collision among the speedboats. To be precise, Adrienne Vaughan, her husband Mike, and children, Leanna, 14, & Mason, 11, had chartered a boat to tour some of Italy's southern coast on Thursday. However, at around 6:30 pm, their pleasure boat collided with a Tortuga Ship which was filled with 85 people who were celebrating a wedding on it. However, panic erupted among the Tortuga passengers when their ship hit Adrienne Vaughan's 'small' pleasure boat sending her straight into the water. Now, Adrienne Vaughan's accident video or Adrienne Vaughan' video is spreading like a wildfire on social media.
In the viral Adrienne Vaughan video, Turtuga passengers can be seen celebrating a wedding and dancing on the deck. However, suddenly the celebration turned into screams of panic when they saw their ship has hit a small chartered boat. When the passengers run to see what happened, Adrienne Vaughan was seen drowning away in the water and then panic erupted all around. Vaughn, who fell into the water, sustained fatal injuries after she was hit by the boat's propeller.
After Adrienne Vaughan's accident, helicopters and ambulances immediately arrived at the spot. However, the Bloomsbury USA Chief was declared dead on the spot. Adrienne Vaughan's husband Mike was also thrown from the boat and reportedly suffered serious limb injuries, including a dislocated shoulder and lacerated wounds. Fortunately, Adrienne Vaughan's children were not injured, however, seeing their mother's death in front of them sent them into shock. Adrienne Vaughan's boat's skipper suffered from fractured ribs and was taken to hospital.
Italian media reports quoted an eyewitness named Pietro Luzzolino who was the barman at the wedding. Pietro Luzzolino informed that the boat skipper appeared drunk as he was continuously vomiting. However, Pietro Luzzolino stated that he is not certain as it is a matter of investigation. It is pertinent to mention here that Italian media Ana, Italy24 reported that the skipper was indeed drunk citing a toxicology test. As of now, the investigation is ongoing and both boats involved in the collision have been seized by police.
