The Delhi Police's Special Cell on Saturday apprehended the infamous lady don of Rajasthan in Uttar Pradesh, just a day after Punjab's gangster Kala Jatheri was arrested.
Anuradha, the lady don, has been convicted in several cases in Rajasthan, including extortion, kidnapping, and murder. According to reports, Anuradha also had a reward of Rs 10,000 on her name by Rajasthan police.
She was an associate of gangster Anandpal Singh, who was killed in a police encounter in Rajasthan's Churu district in 2017, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell-Counter Intelligence) Manishi Chandra.
The arrest comes a day after gangster Sandeep alias Kala Jatheri was apprehended in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on July 31. According to authorities, Sandeep was wanted for extortion, murder, and other serious crimes across Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. Kala Jatheri had a reward of Rs 7 lakh on his head.
In the case of Jatheri, the Delhi Police worked with the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). According to authorities, the gangster's name came up after his relative Sonu was injured in the Chhatrasal Stadium violence, for which two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar was arrested.
The authorities are now looking into Jatheri's suspected connections with the wrestler.
