Election strategist Prashant Kishor, also known as ‘Brand PK’, who was earlier working with West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and her Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the assembly elections, has now reportedly joined Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh as principal advisor.
Sharing this information, Punjab CM on his official twitter handle said, “Happy to Share that @PrashantKishor has joined me as Principal Advisor. Look forward to working together for the betterment of the people of Punjab”, he said.
Meanwhile, even as Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh describes election strategist and former Janata Dal-United leader Prashant Kishor as "a family member", the latter on June 7, 2020 rejected the Congress leader's request to take up the party's cause for 2022 assembly polls in the state and made CM’s grandson Nirvan wait for two-long hours.
However, it seems like the CM has finally convinced the Kishor to help him lead the 2022 polls, say sources.
Also, among the success stories of election strategist Prashant Kishor, AAP's Delhi victory outshines others. There was an exception, though: he couldn't win Uttar Pradesh for the Congress-Samajwadi Party combine in 2017. However, Kishor's consultancy firm Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) has served several political parties in scoring a thumping win in different elections across the country.
