Despite meeting with PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on August 23, the battle between the latter’s advisors and Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is far from over. After his controversial Kashmir remarks, now Sidhu’s aide Malvinder Singh Mali has launched another attack against Capt through his social media post on Monday.
Sharing photos of Pakistani Journalist with Capt Amarinder Singh, DGP Dinkar Gupta, and Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan, Mali has raised questions on Punjab CM’s working style.
While posting his allegations on social media, Mali said “Capt Amarinder linked political issues and matter of national security with Navjot Sidhu’s personal advisors, thus nothing is personal now.”
Attacking on Capt’s economic advisor Bharatinder Chahal, he stated, “When I was the Public Relations Officer with this media advisor of yours, I got to know that he had built a house in Himachal, whose goods were imported from abroad.”
Mali alleged that when vigilance arrested Chahal, this house was also mentioned in the reports. “I had also raised the noise that this house was a benami property of Chahal Saheb in the name of son of a senior officer of Himachal.”
Furthermore, accusing CM of close ties with Narendra Modi government he stated that all the changes in the Punjab administration are done in accordance with Modi and Sukhbir Badal's desires.
Earlier, after meeting with Sidhu, Mali had told the media that “Whatever I had to say, I've said on social media, and that is final. If anyone makes a mistake, they should reflect. We must continue to work for the welfare of Punjab.”
Meanwhile, Dr Pyare Lal Garg stated, "We spoke to Sidhu ji on the issues of the development of the state. When a government does good work, we appreciate it, but if it does poorly, then also we criticise it."
The entire controversy started when two of Sidhu’s advisors made comments on sensitive national issues like Kashmir and Pakistan. Malvinder Singh Mali on August 18 claimed that Kashmir was a separate country and both India and Pakistan were illegal occupants. Meanwhile, Dr Pyare Lal Garg questioned Captain Amarinder’s criticism of Pakistan.

Mali also posted a controversial sketch about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In this sketch, Indira Gandhi is seen standing near a pile of human skulls and holding a gun, whose tube also has a human skull.
Following their controversial statements, Capt Amarinder Singh had warned the two, urging them to stick to giving advice to the PPCC president and not speak on matters of which they clearly had little or no knowledge, and had no understanding of the implications of their comments.
