A full state of emergency was declared
at the Mumbai Airport on Thursday evening after an air ambulance reported gear malfunction.
Notably, the air ambulance with a patient on board took off from Nagpur, and while
flight the plane lost its wheel.
The Beechcraft VT-JIL aircraft was heading towards Hyderabad from Nagpur however, ultimately it had to make an emergency belly landing on foam carpeting in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 9:09 pm.
In the flight, there were two crew members, a patient, a relative and a doctor.

Taking cognizance of the situation, the airport’s emergency response team including the fire and rescue responders, follow me vehicles, security medical staff among others were activated instantly to provide immediate assistance to ensure the safe evacuation of the passengers.
The Civil Aviation Minister has also applauded the efforts of DGCA, Mumbai Airport, and others.
