Aishwarya Rajesh’s upcoming film Boomika is all set to premiere on Vijay Television. Touted to be an ecological thriller, Boomika has skipped theatrical release and will be directly released on television on August 22.
Boomika, produced by Passion Studios and presented by Karthik Subbaraj, is said to be a story that involves seven main characters and it happens over a night. Also starring Pavel Navageethan, Boomika has cinematography by Roberto Zazzara and music by Prithvi Chandrasekar.
The film is set in Nilgiri hills and going by the poster the film could be about environment and talk about forest encroachment. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh herself revealed that the film will premiere directly on Vijay Television on August 22.
“Very happy to announce @aishu_dil starrer #Boomika 's Tamil Premiere on @vijaytelevision. This Eco thriller-horror crafted by @RathindranR is sure to entertain you all,” Stone Bench Films, the production house bankrolling the movie, tweeted on Saturday, July 31.
According to sources, director Rathindran Prasad’s debut project Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai, which stars actors Ashwin Kakumanu and Abhay Deol in the lead, has completed production but hasn’t been able to secure theatrical release.
Aishwarya's last release, Thittam Irandu got its premiere on Sony Liv last week. She has films like Vishnu Vishal's Mohandas, Nani's Tuck Jagadish, The Great Indian Kitchen Tamil remake and Dhruva Natchathiram in the pipeline.

Aishwarya Rajesh is an Indian film actress, who has appeared in leading roles primarily in Tamil cinema. She is best known for movies Rummy, and Pannaiyarum Padminiyum. She appeared in a song sequence in R. Parthiepan's Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam and as the female lead in Thirudan Police. In 2015, she was seen in the movie "Kaaka Muttai". She debuted in Hindi movie "Daddy" opposite to Arjun Rampal. She received Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for 2014 Movie Kaaka Muttai at Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
