Vijay Gilani, the producer of famous films like Ajnabee and Veer, passed away at the age of 50 due to blood cancer. Vijay took his last breath in London hospital. He was getting his treatment done for blood cancer in a UK hospital.
According to reports, he had gone to London with his family for a bone marrow transplant. He came to know about his disease only a few months before going there.
Vijay Gilani is a well-known name in the Bollywood industry. He had close ties with many Bollywood celebrities. As a producer, Vijay has done many films like 'Sooryavanshi' (1992), 'Achanak' (1998). He also produced 'Ajnabee' in 2001, which starred Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bipasha Basu in lead roles.
Vijay Gilani had also produced Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Jackie Shroff starrer Veer which was released in 2010. The film marked Zareen Khan’s big Bollywood debut.
His last production film was 'The Power' starring Vidyut Jammwal, Shruti Haasan, Zakir Hussain, Prateek Babbar, Sachin Khedekar and Jisshu Sengupta. This action entertainer was released on January 14 this year on an OTT platform G5.
