Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav who triggered political controversy in January after he made remarks that he will not get himself injected with a “BJP vaccine” against coronavirus, has tested positive for Covid-19.
Though Samajwadi Party chief then asserted that he had never insulted the scientists who developed it, however, he could not trust a vaccine which would be used by BJP government.
He then also raised doubts against the vaccines which were set to be rolled out in the country those days, saying what happened with the Haryana minister who had got himself vaccinated.

Meanwhile, Akhilesh gave this information in a tweet that he tested positive and advised all those who had come into contact with him in recent days, to get themselves tested.
He said that he had isolated himself at home and taking treatment as per prescribed protocol.
Akhilesh had recently visited Haridwar where he met a number of saints and seers. Some of the saints, including Mahant Narendra Giri, later tested positive for Covid.
On Tuesday, Akhilesh got himself tested for Covid-19 and the report which came on Wednesday, showed that he is positive for the virus.
