One of the most awaited movies of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar 'Bell Bottom' is all set to hit the theaters. Amidst various speculations and media reports, it was claimed that Bell Bottom will be dropped on an OTT platform. It was also reported that Amazon Prime Video might get the rights of the movie to broadcast. The report suggested that since the theaters are working with 50 percent capacity due to COVID, the makers off Bell Bottom are preferring for an OTT release.
Now, the claims and rumors have been put to rest. Going by the reports of Koimoi, Bell Bottom is eyeing on theatrical release, not an OTT release which the various media organizations are reporting. The entertainment portal quoted its well-placed source who said, "This is what you a call a typical ‘fake news’. Bell Bottom was always made for theatres and that’s how it will remain as well. There are some news pieces that have some sort of semblance at least but this one has no head or tail to it. It is truly a figment of someone’s imagination and pretty mischievous as well. It was truly uncalled for."

Bell Bottom is a spy thriller. Screenwriter Aseem Arrora in an interview said, "Bell Bottom is an untold true story and pierces your heart even though it is set in the espionage world."
Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor has been cast opposite Akshay Kumar.
