In the recent PNP draw, Alberta sets a new record of inviting 500 candidates. This is the third-largest draw by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) after the two largest draws in August.
The basic requirement of qualifying the draw is a cutoff score of 300. The invited candidates must have this cut off score.
Since January 2021, Alberta has invited 4,507 Express Entry candidates.
Details of Alberta PNP program:
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is an economic immigration program that nominates people for permanent residence in Alberta. Nominees must have skills to fill job shortages or be planning to buy or start a business in Alberta. They must also be able to provide for their families. The program is run by the governments of Alberta and Canada.
If you are nominated through the program, you may apply for permanent residence status together with your spouse or common-law partner, and dependent children.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada manages applications for permanent residence. The federal government also makes final decisions on these applications.

Eligibility required for Alberta Express Entry Stream
To get eligible under the Alberta Express Entry stream, the candidate needs to possess work experience in a suitable occupation. In fact, AINP does not provide a list of eligible occupations. Instead, it provides a list of occupations that are not eligible for the stream.
Candidates who apply under this stream work as
· Food service supervisors,
· Transport truck drivers,
· Chefs, etc.
Note: If you register under the Express Entry profile, then you need to show your interest in moving to Alberta. Certain factors like having work experience or a job offer in Alberta, or having a parent, child, or sibling who is a permanent resident or citizen in Alberta support your profile. If you have Canadian education, that will also help you the most.
