Ahead of the launch of the second season of the hit show, Mirzapur, a section of netizens have started a social media trend demanding the boycott of the show. The hashtag #BoycottMirzapur2 on Twitter started soon after the trailer was dropped on YouTube a few days ago.
One of the major reasons why the netizens are in a mood to boycott Mirzapur 2 is because of Bollywood actor Ali Fazal. Ali Fazal who plays the character of 'Gudu Pandit' in Mirzapur took to twitter and had supported the Anti-CAA protest. He had written, "Protest: Shuru Majboori Mein Kiye They, Ab Maza Aa Raha Hai!!"
Now, Ali Fazal has given his clarification on his tweet on the Anti-CAA protest. Talking to the Quint, Ali Fazal said, "I have never been able to clarify that tweet. It's so sad, even though it's not something that should affect me, this little trolling that happens. Clearly, there are so many fake accounts, it's almost like a template, you know it just runs for this particular stipulated period of time but at that time it was the wrong usage of my words or rather an interpretation but for the first time there were people, there were youths of our country they were outside."

"Things like this don't happen, we don't come together in our country. Our country hasn't seen people coming together and reading the constitution of our nation together. In that little moment, I had written that. This is it."
Mirzapur season 2 is all set to release on Amazon Prime on October 23 and it will be interesting to see what the people of India do, whether Mirzaur 2 will become the next Sadak 2 or it will break the barrier after its craze.
