Alia Bhatt arrived at HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai, at 7 am and gave birth to a baby girl at 12:05 pm. Following that, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram and shared the 'good news' with her fans saying, 'And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed Parents!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir." With the star couple finally blessed with their firstborn, fans are wondering what might be Alia Bhatt's daughter name would be or at least querying what Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will name their daughter.
While the couple has not revealed their daughter's official name yet, Alia Bhatt once revealed what would she name her little angel during one of her movie promotions. Yes! you heard it right. During the promotion of Gully Boy, Alia and co-star Ranveer Singh had visited the sets of Super Dancer season 3. In a conversation with a young contestant, Alia asked him to spell her name on the show. The boy, however, could not spell the name correctly. But Alia liked the wrong spelling so much that she decided to name her daughter after it. The boy had spelt Alia as Almaa. She responded, "Alma bahut hi sundar naam hai, main apni beti ka naam Alma rakhungi (Alma is a very lovely name, I will name my daughter Alma)." Reportedly, the meaning of Almaa is nourishing, kind soul. A soulful name that had burst into popularity a century ago then faded into the flower wallpaper.

For the unversed, Ranbir and Alia got married in April this year in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai residence Vastu and in June, Alia announced her pregnancy on her Instagram handle. Not only this, the Kapoors and Alia's friends organised an intimate baby shower ceremony at Alia and Ranbir's Mumbai residence Vastu. Alia shared dreamy pictures from the celebrations and captioned the post as, "just...love," followed by yellow heart emoticons. The ceremony was attended by Kapoors and Bhatts, including Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima, Karisma, Shweta Bachchan, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, and others.
