On Sunday, 8th September, the official teaser trailer of Jigra movie has got released. This action thriller movie, directed by Vasan Bala stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. The movie will get released in theatres on 11th October. Jigra is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action-thriller movie written by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt and Soumen Mishra under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions. The plot majorly revolves around the emotional tale of the on-screen siblings, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina.
In the teaser, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is seen playing the role of a protective sibling to Vedang Raina. The teaser starts with the song ‘Phoolon ka Taaron’ playing in the background and Alia’s character is seen narrating her story to Manoj Pahwa’s character.
Alia is seen protecting Vedang Raina, who is playing the role of her brother imprisoned in a foreign prison. Her mission is to save her brother who is her only family member. Actor Manoj Pahwa seems to play her mentor in the movie. She gets helped in accomplishing her mission by the characters played by Manoj Pahwa and Rahul Ravindran.
In the teaser, Alia’s character explodes the walls of prison, bursts through flames in a car and escapes from bullets and bombs for protecting her brother played by Vedang Raina.
In a recent interview, the lead actress of the movie, Alia Bhatt said, “It is releasing on October 11, and what I can tell you about it is that it is releasing on October 11, 2024. I had a wonderful time working with Vasan Bala. I have such fond memories of working with him, and we are still working on it because post-production is ongoing. He has got the perfect balance of cool and nostalgia.” Actress Alia Bhatt has also shared multiple posters of her upcoming movie Jigra on her Instagram.
Initially the movie was scheduled to release on 27th September 2024, but later the release date shifted to 11th October 2024. This film's streaming rights are acquired by Netflix and it will be streamed on Netflix after its theatrical run.
